Selecting a payment gateway

In order to receive online donations, event RSVP payments or ecommerce payments, a payment gateway needs to be configured for your site.

The CMS supports three payment gateways:

Authorize.net Overview

It can often be a cheaper yet more complete alternative to Paypal, and also offers the ability to receive eChecks as a payment method.

Pricing

Pricing varies from Authorize.net reseller to reseller. Please contact your project manager for referrals.

Paypal Standard Overview

With Standard, the users will be sent to the paypal website to finish payments and then sent back to your site upon completion. This is different than Authorize.net and Paypal Pro.

Note: Since Paypal handles the transaction we are not able to create accounts for users and thus we cannot track transaction history. In addition, recurring subscriptions are not supported with Paypal Standard. Certain other features may also be limited or unavailable as well.

  • No monthly fees
  • Transaction fees: 1.9% to 2.9% + $0.30 USD

More info can be found on the paypal website.

Paypal Payments Pro Overview

With Paypal Payments Pro, users will complete payment on your website, never going to the Paypal site.

  • $30.00 USD monthly
  • Transaction fees: 2.2% to 2.9% + $0.30 USD

More info can be found on the paypal website.

Fees are subject to change.  Consult the providers website for current pricing.
